A collection of heart-warming pictures showcases a pregnant dog that appears to have taken in an abandoned baby monkey following the tragic incident of its mother being poisoned.
The baby monkey is happily snuggling and frolicking with the dog, while the expectant mom looks delighted to have him as a companion.
During his visit to Chakki Mor, Solan in Himachal Pradesh, northern India, Prakash Badal, a 48-year-old photographer, took some stunning pictures. Although his main goal was to capture images of birds, he ended up with much more than that.
According to him, the baby monkey appeared to be around 10 days old when locals poisoned the adult monkeys because they believed they were damaging their crops. However, the young monkey was able to survive and was taken in by a dog.
Sometimes, monkeys and dogs may have clashes, but nothing beats the significance of a mother’s relationship. In my opinion, when a mother sees a tiny and abandoned baby without any caregiver, her instinct compels her to nurture and adopt the little one, regardless of their species.
